The Dalhousie University Faculty of Computer Science, in collaboration with Young Engineers Halifax, is excited to offer a free hands-on workshop designed to introduce young learners to the world of engineering and computer science.

In this interactive RoboToys workshop, students will build a motorized engineering model while exploring the basics of coding, sequencing, and algorithmic thinking. Through simple coding instructions, children will see how commands control the models they build while developing creativity, problem-solving, and early engineering skills.

This workshop is designed for students ages 7–12 and provides a fun, engaging environment where kids can explore how technology and engineering work together to bring ideas to life.

    Workshop Details:
Dates: April 12 or April 26
    Time: 9:30am - 11:00am
Location: Goldberg Computer Science Building, Dalhousie University
    Cost: Free
    Ages: 7–12

Both sessions will offer the same workshop experience, so students should register for only one date that works best for their schedule.

Families interested in more opportunities like this will also be able to learn about additional workshops offered by Young Engineers Halifax. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Registration is no longer available because the registration capacity has been exceeded.
