Ready to design, build, and play your own game in just one day?

Join us at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science for Global Game Jam Next, an exciting, hands-on event where young creators come together to build a game of their choosing — whether that’s a video game, board game, card game, or something totally original!

What to Expect:

• 10:00–10:45am | Intro to Game Building
  Kick off the day with a beginner-friendly session covering the fundamentals of game design — from brainstorming ideas to building engaging gameplay.

• 11:00am–2:00pm | Game Jam Time!
  Work independently or collaborate with others to bring your game idea to life. Mentors will be available to support you along the way.

• Lunch Included
  Refuel and connect with fellow creators before finishing your masterpiece.

• 2:00-3:00pm | Game Showcase

What to Bring:

• If you’re building a video game, we recommend bringing your own laptop. A limited number of laptops will be available to reserve in advance.

• If you’re building a physical game, we’ll provide craft materials and supplies — just bring your creativity!

This event is perfect for students who love technology, storytelling, art, design, or simply creating something new. No prior experience is required — just curiosity and imagination.
