    Join Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science for an immersive, full-day professional learning experience designed specifically for high school guidance counsellors and computer studies teachers. This event will provide a first-hand look at how Dalhousie is re-imagining the Bachelor of Computer Science to better reflect today’s rapidly evolving digital world.

    Participants will learn about Dalhousie’s new and emerging program majors, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Digital Innovation, Software Development, Scientific Computing, and Human-Computer Interaction. With so much conversation—and uncertainty—around the future of computer science and career opportunities for graduates, this event cuts through the noise to showcase what a modern computer science degree truly looks like and the diverse pathways it opens for students.

    Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical tools, examples, and insights they can bring back to their schools to better support and inspire students who may be considering computer science after high school.

    Participants will experience a full day of learning, conversation, and hands-on exploration focused on modern computer science education.
