Which Open House will you be joining?

    Priority Admissions

Students who attended the Truro Open House on October 21, 2023 and apply for direct-entry undergraduate admission to a Truro-based program by Monday, October 23, 2023 will receive priority processing from our admissions team.

Students who attended the Halifax Open House on November 4, 2023 and apply for direct-entry undergraduate admission to a Halifax-based program by Monday, November 6, 2023 will receive priority processing from our admissions team.

Applications received from Canadian and US high school students, as well as transfer applicants and international students (who have completed high school) will be given priority in the review process.

Steps required to receive early admission

    1. Complete your online application for admission* (available starting October 15, 2023).
    2. Send official transcripts** (high school graduates and transfer applicants only)
    3. Pay your application fee

If you have questions about completing your undergraduate application to study at Dalhousie or wish to chat with an advisor, visit the Admissions Advising Lounge on event day.

Please note: We unfortunately do not offer application fee waivers for Open House attendees in order to ensure fairness for all applicants.

*Open House priority processing is being offered for direct-entry undergraduate programs only and is not available for Bachelor of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Science (Nursing) applicants.

**Current high school students in Canada and the US who received final grades for the 2022-2023 school year can self-report their grades along with unofficial transcripts1 during the early admission period. International high school students who are enrolled in a Canadian curriculum school outside of Canada, an International Baccalaureate (IB) or Advanced Placement (AP) program, or who will be completing their GCE A Levels will be considered for early admission based on self-reported year 11 grades. An unofficial1 version of the year 11 final transcript must be provided. If numerical grades are not available, unofficial transcripts1 can be provided through the application portal.

International high school students following other curricula are not able to be assessed for admissions until January 2024.

An unofficial transcript can be a scan, digital file, screenshot of a grade portal, or clear photo of your final transcript from year 11. Please be sure to include all pages of the transcript.
